I don't have a name suggestion for the Madone but I do have a new name suggestion for this blog. "Andrews 'Fastest Puryear Up Old LaHonda' Training Blog."
Ethan, that does really roll off of the tounge but I am going to have to make a trip out west and do some record setting before I start claiming to be the fastest. Hopefully I can make it out in Feb. for the Tour and take on the climb. I am setting my pipedream goal at 20 minutes, which is an average speed of a little over 10 mph. I am going to need some extra steroids for that one.
I think my title may have been a little misleading. What I meant was for the blog to shift a bit from the single speed talk and move a little towards your training to log the fastest time by a Puryear (that we know of) on Old LaHonda. The good news is 20 minutes is very doable if you put some good miles in between now and February. The bad news is a lot of those miles will be done in December and January when it might be a little cold in the NC high country.

I can only hope never to relinquish my record for 'Most trips up Old LaHonda by a Puryear'. I certainly can't claim to be the fastest.
